UPSC has released the notification for the Combined Defence Services
Examination II Exam 2019 (CDS Exam II 2019). CDS Exam 2019 (II) is held for
recruiting candidates for a different course such as Indian Military Academy,
Indian Navy Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy. The CDS the exam is organised twice in a year and the aspirant candidates will apply for
CDS Exam 2019 for a different post through the official site of UPSC at www.upsc.gov.in
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released
the official exam date for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) II exam, on 12th
June 2019. The application process has also started today and will close on
08th July 2019

includes. Name of the Course and Approximate No. of Vacancies:

Military Academy (INA), Dehradun 149th (DE) Course commencing in July 2020 -

CDS Exam Pattern
§
The Competitive examination comprises:
(1)
Written examination as shown in below
(2) And
the Interview will be held to judge the intelligence and personality of candidates
as may be called for interview at one of the Services Selection Centres
§ The subjects of the written examination, the time allowed
and the maximum marks for each subject
will be as follows:
1. English
– Time Duration: 2 Hours & Maximum Marks 100
2. General
– Time Duration: Knowledge 2 Hours; & Maximum Marks 100
3. Elementary
– Time Duration: Mathematics 2 Hours; & Maximum Marks 100

Maximum marks for the written exam and to the
interviews will be equal for each course i.e. the maximum marks for the written exam and to the interviews will be
300, 300, 300 and 200 each for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian
Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers’ Training Academy respectively

The papers in all the subjects will consist
of objective type questions only. The question papers (Test Booklets) of
General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi
as well as English
Some simple tips
for CDS Preparation
- Practice
Mathematics questions daily.
- Develop a habit of reading newspapers, magazines, informative blogs, etc. to improve
English vocabulary, understanding of the English language, and always
updated with current affairs.
- Try to
solve daily mocks test and previous years’ question papers.
- Always Use
the new words of English you learn in daily life communication. This will definitely
improve your communication skills for the interview round.
- Joining a
crash course for Interview preparation can be useful as you will get an
environment to remove the nervousness and difficulties while speaking.
- Candidates
should be physically and mentally fit. It is advised to undergo a full body check-up before appearing for the exam like medical test. Regular
exercise and healthy eating must be practised to be in good shape.
- Extremely
