CDSE Entry (Graduate): CDSE exam is generally a
written examination and conducted by the UPSC, but the interview is taken by
the Service Selection Board (SSB). It is held twice every year by UPSC.
Generally the examination notification outs in the month of November (CDS-I)
and in July (CDS-II).
Direct
Entry: For the other Commission entries and Short Service
Commission entries there is no need for the written examination. These
applications are shortlisted related to criteria such as Marks, Education
qualification laid down by the Indian Navy Headquarters, For
Direct entry notification out in the month of Jan, Feb, Mar, Sep, and Oct.
You should
also, apply for CDS examinations which are conduct by UPSC. It is held twice a
year such as April/May and October/November.

Ø For
getting selected in Indian Navy, you must read the given criteria very
carefully:
Ø The first condition, if the candidates who are applying for the given post must
have completed their degree on the date of filing the application form.
Ø Most
importantly, the candidates are selected for SSB is totally depending upon
their academic performance in their respected stream.
Ø Candidates
applying after the Education entry, the candidates must have scored a minimum
of 60% marks in class X and class XII in whole and minimum 60% marks in English
in class X or class XII.
Ø Please
make sure you have no hidden injuries/medical problems which may hinder your
selection in later stages.
Ø Physical
Standard: Physical and mental health is
important in every civil exam and the Candidates must fulfil the physical
standards.
Ø Relaxation
in Height and Weight: Relaxations in
height is permissible to candidates holding the domicile of specific regions.

Once the candidate gets recommended by SSB will have to undergo medicals as per
extant regulation. There is no relaxation in medical standard on any ground.

eligibility criteria for joining merchant navy are after 12 with Physics,

is via an entrance exam followed by a screening test and a main written
examination.

qualifying the test, there is an interview and medical test procedures have
been started.

also, need to complete a ship-training course prior to employment.
• The
Navy course is generally short-term where the candidates are taught basic
